Weight Loss

It’s hard to deny, trying to lose weight can be a difficult and long task. Maybe you have already tried and failed, maybe you have done this many times. To start you see progress and your weight reduces and over time you gain it back again. It could be that you are bored, feeling bad about yourself, stressed or low. All these will make it a harder challenge for you. Some people will get into a cycle – lose weight – gain weight – lose it again. This is what we know as Yo-Yo dieting and it can be hard to break out of this pattern.

Traditionally a diet will focus on the food you eat. That maybe calorie counting, low carbs, low fat or one of many other diets urging us to watch what we eat. Hypnotherapy has a different approach and will change how you feel about eating rather than what you eat. For instance, if you are having a salad you may be thinking about egg and chips and this means you will not enjoy the salad. Hypnotherapy can change the thoughts you have so that you will no longer think about the foods you crave and can enjoy the foods that are good for you. This happens by changing the thought patterns so you can be in control of any cravings meaning you will be happier.

With hypnosis the therapist can access the subconscious mind and, with the use of powerful suggestions, will guide you to new and more supportive ways of thinking about food. This will help you to feel better about yourself, make you more confident about your body, feel more confident and quieten the negative voice inside your head. The result is a better relationship with food, a greater desire to exercise, becoming the shape and size that’s right for you and generally feeling better about yourself and your life.
